Freudentisch Vier

I've been focusing specifically on the tablepet side of freudentisch for this project. The former post mentioned that ITC Serif Gothic Std was the logo typeface, and that was true. As for the secondary aspect of tablepet, that is what should be set in Helvetica Neue. Still working on the tagline, but I figure it would advertise in a format similar to one of these two set-ups

Taglines & Modifying Copy

Here are the guidelines for the tagline and modifying copy. There is only one acceptable tagline and it has specific rules for setting the type. Click the image to read more.

Not really set on this logo. I've been staring at it for so long and it suddenly dawned on me that it looked like an angel figurine. Totally reworking it but I like my typefaces.

The best offence is a good defence!

So.... My product, due to its nature, does not have a tag line. it is an instructional set of books. I guess It can be something like this. but I feel if there was a tagline it would take away from the purpose of it

So i hadn't really thought of a tag line but my mom had and she thought of the "get away" one when i asked her what she thought of when she heard the company name. I liked it but i think for my contemporary furniture i liked the "new" one. I think i may use both but the first is the primary tag line. i put it in franklin gothic because i am working on my pc and don't have futura at the moment but that will be the typeface.

Day 22

I present the cendrillon logo and tagline! I had a great time playing around and making this stuff work.

kit: tagline

Day 22

Here's the tagline for Soto. It will be mostly used for advertisements, not on the actual product. The copyright symbol should always be used.

Day4-Tagline

This is what the front of the packaging looks like with the tagline.

Not quite a "catch phrase"

Day: Tagline

Here is my tagline for Neverland. I wasn't expecting on using one, but I think that this tagline will do nicely.

fullgive (day 21)

The tagline for fullgive's belt line keep your pants on is set in helvetica neue ultra light. The tag line can work in any number of combos including a logo or not.

Taglines and Copy

I think I'm having deja vu. Seems like I keep throwing in some of the same elements. Anyone else feel the same? Not much to say about this post. It has a tagline and here's how to use it.
Tomorrow I want to try something wild, new and more exciting than taglines and color palettes.

taglines

The primary tagline is "come alive." It is set in Gill Sans Light. This tagline appears with the logo. The secondary tagline is "Shake up your nightlife." It is in Gill Sans Regular. This tagline does not appear next to the logo and is used for advertisements. There is an example of how "come alive" is in its size relation to the logo and includes the copyright symbol.

kit: typography

Typeface is limited to Minion Pro Regular in pt. sizes 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc.
Inked words should be created with brush and india ink. When inking, place emphasis on ascenders, descenders, the beginning and ends of the words to create opportunities for alignment with the rest of the phrase.
Special care should be taken when considering alignment and proportions. Note the red alignment guides on the examples.
When inking and setting phrases, type sizes should be based on inflections used when speaking. For example, "Design is a relationship between form and content." Say it out loud- it seems natural for the emphasis to be on "form" foremost, "and content", with equal emphasis on the beginning of the phrase. Therefore, "form" should be inked, with the other pieces of the sentence set in appropriate sizes to accompany.

Day 21

These are the type faces that I have chosen that best suit my product and logo. I had a little trouble figuring out what to do for the web font, because the font that I originally use for the logo is not a default. So I enjoyed the style that are listed.

Type

for this project i have very limited type faces that need to be used. One really.
Baker Signet Std.
Thats pretty much it.

Whitney

I am happy to announce that I will soon be the proud new owner of a beautiful new font face and family. Whitney by Hoefler & Frere-Jones.

The graphics are complimentary of their site.

Day 21

As this is a custom-made typeface, there aren't any other variations, but the thought of line weight was put into consideration. The line weight was created to mimic the flow of water. All the type but the "t" is aligned on the same baseline, with the "t" lining up with the "s" ascender and extends below the baseline. This should always be applied.

Day: Type

In this post it explains what type of font is being use. It also show where the ascenders and descenders need to be.

Freudentisch Drei

The logo typeface is to be used only for the logo, never for any other purpose. Logo is not to be set in type other than ITC Serif Gothic Std. The two heaviest weights, ITC Serif Gothic Std Heavy and ITC Serif Gothic Std Black are not to be used under any circumstance. Likewise, in the secondary type choice, the condensed versions of Helvetica Neue are not to be used for any reason. For most display purposes the regular weight for either font should be adequate.

(Seems like Helvetica Neue is a pretty popular choice.)

FullGive (day 20)

Along with the idea that Fullgive is able to handle multiple logos and colors the brand is also functional with a wide array of typefaces as well, through the use of hand illustrated, written, stamped, and etc. When it comes to the world of print Helvetica Neue is one a suitable font for the wide variety of moods and styles that Fullgive can evoke.

Cable Table reDesign.020

FontSlip is the focal and stylistic point of the logo, but it's rarely used other than in sublogos. Helvetica makes up the body text. Arial is an acceptable substitute for web use.

Glo Typography

Well the main typeface is one that I created and that will be used for most of the main "title" items that Glo will be involved in. The secondary is a kinda cool squarish one that will fit with the more professional side of Glo. Like said in one of my previous posts this week, my idea of Glo is now going to be a kind of urban underground sports lifestyle and this should open the Glo Style to an aspect of freedom. Even though these are the typefaces that I have shown, my idea is the art and type of Glo will be pretty unrestricted in the creating of brands or divisions of the company, but at the same time on the more professional-business side this will be the required typeface for brandings. I hope I spelled everything right haha, and I hope you all like!

Don't have "Tech Font" but:

Typographic Selection

The two main typefaces for the company are Penumbra Sans and Univers LT. I provided line weight variations for lightweight, body, subheading, and heading text as well as emphasis for each one. I also included appropriate default typefaces for web content.

Okay so this is my type stuff. I can't help myself with century gothic so i had to try it but the best looking one is the cartiel one. I had futura before but i had to try these. My final typeface? it will be futura like it is in my previous posts.

i wanted to find a font for glo that would or that i could make look like it glows. that one was Alba. the other fonts i was going to use had to be something light and not take away from the glo font, but also complement it. the ones i chose were Bellrose and Gill Sans.

Day3- Typefaces

Here are the font styles that will be used for my brand. Brady Bunch Remasterd & Euphemia.

Typography Selection

My typography selection is pretty straight forward. The ta was
drawn by hand and the type beneath it is hypatia sans regular.
There are no bold options so I beefed up the stroke a little to give
it a bold feel. I like the clean simple look of it and it doesn't scream.
It sits quietly at the bottom. I gave some examples of how it should
and should not be used as well as some color options...and there you have it.

type

I chose a pretty simple typeface for my brand, cause its is a simple company. So Myriad Pro Regular for the body text, and a combination of Regular and Bold for the logo.

Dec 3, 2009

Day 20

I went with a more natural color scheme with Soto since it's supposed to be connected with nature for meditation. The color of the type is the main color scheme and the others are more for the color of packaging and accent colors for the flower that fit the mood and feel.
the top logo is the primary logo. all the others are secondary options and it includes a black and white logo. the black box is not necessary in all logo options. the end.

Day: Colors

Here are the official colors for the logo.

COLOR!!!

I love Color!! It was too hard to choose just a few, I had to try them all.

Freudentisch Zwei

In the future the color palette may be expanded, but for consistency of the brand the jester color will remain the same.

The Colors of Glo

Well I was just looking at a bunch of older work of Mark Ecko and then looking at a lot of graffiti type stuff so that is how I obtained this color scheme. Even though there may be a lot of colors in this color scheme it is still not limited to these. Following along the free underground urban style the colors will be very bright almost always slightly contrasting and a lot of almost fluorescent colors.
