-"This is cool. It reminds me kind of like a mummy because it's fabric, and it has the stuff buried with it."
-"It's weird. Why does it have a coffin? What is the apple for? I don't really get it."
-"I like that there are all these little things that represent human kind. It's understandable to us, because we know what they mean, but maybe future...aliens or whatever....will kind of see a connection, too."
-"I think it's cool that you could show humans using this form. If I found this and unburied it, I would want to know who made it and why."

The ideas I like the best are the ones with the "people" forms, like the paper dolls or the cookie-like objects that will have images of the culture on them.
I like the idea of the container being a globe that opens, with something to show where each doll came from, like the colored dot on the country and a pin or something from each object that coordinates with the globe.
One more idea:
I got an idea in class to do an actual fabric doll. It would have clothing, bits and pieces from each country represented somehow. Or, maybe not even have clothes. Then it could just represent the human as a being, not a person. I would make it unzip so the skin/outer body comes off, like a glove or something, so it shows a skeleton-like body painted onto another doll. There would be another zipper that opens up to show the inside of the human...heart, guts, brain, etc.
I think I like this idea best!

I like both of your ideas, but the doll idea could be really cool. Maybe you could give the doll a name and a human brand on the clothes. Be sure to let the viewer know to look under the zipper, maybe put the zipper on the front and when it zips down they see what is underneath.
Sierra, I agree that your strongest concept is the last one you wrote about. I feel like this would go great in your portfolio with the fabric doll and your style. The concept of including humans world wide. But maybe you could tie the idea together more... how different locations, cultures... define us and make us who we are or how that makes us human.
