Un applicable.
Throughout this process i have noticed that this project has created a problem for me for these last few days. I have grown to understand the product or brand very well and the problem is Non of the other segments are applicable. The only thing that could happen is if the animation showed some instances of how the joint manipulations world and where it puts strain, but that is more of a video then a animation. I have tried to produce something from the rest of the categories but it detracts from the idea of what it is. It is ment to be a set of instruction al books. the only animation is if it morphs from one symbol to the other. but i was not at a computer with the programs that could do it today so this explanation will have to do.
Glo Imagery
Well these images were an idea i had for my theory of the Glo Outlet Type Shop. There would be different sections of the store all that would deal with Glo and also the urban underground lifestyle and here are just some ideas of what the decorations for the different store sections would look like.

Like my idea for almost all the aspects of the theory of "glo" that there is freedom yet structure... the same would be for the decorations and wall designs. In each individual store the designs would be uniform in style but they would have the freedom to design them to what they want.
kit: animation
originally i did not want to see this project animated in any way, but the more i thought about it the more i liked it.
i was inspired by typography projects like this
sorry, my flash skills are rusty so this is a storyboard.
also i wasnt sure how to print out a video clip and mount it on a 6x6 board.
N E WAY
very simple, but elegant and i feel that in the end, this type of animation would add to the brand in a positive manner.

LAST DAY YEAHHHHH!

growth
My first instinct was to make the tittle spin. But I thought to was too obvious. So instead I made it grow. This would be an end tag for any commercials.
Freudentisch Sechs

This is a link to a video on Youtube. The video itself isn't important to the brand, but the sound of the scale is. Particularly the last 7 notes. Those last notes are the closest I could find to the actual brand sound.
Tuesday afternoon tee shirt

The animation for cendrillon is a lot like a identity tag video. The first image that is shown is the actual identity mark itself and then the title and tagline come in. The motion is not meant to be very flashy and in your face but more subtle but a definitive mark. There is not a lot of movement but from the movement that is there it proves to be appropriate with the mark. This animation is meant to be used in a web ad and for commercials on television. But in the actual animation it will be used for a tag for the logo and not as the main source of attraction or eye candy.
Day 24

fullgive (day?)
Here is a quick animation of the Fullgive fg* stamp logo, along with the belt tag line "keep your pants on".
animationish type of thing

King Of Darkness
Animation
Here is an example of how the logo would animate in web and video medias. The area shown does not have to fit the entire screen, but just the area where the logo would animate.

I did containing shapes today because i've had this in my head since i made the logo i am currently using. The reason is because although keeping the logo in a square or rectangle if the words are present, will be good for some types of media, but the way i would want it displayed on the store front which is the ideal location is to have it as sort of a cut out look for the logo so that the negative space is interesting and unique. So essentially i don't want any containing shape to my logo. I tried to find a few examples of what i mean but the two photos were as close as i could get. Distressed metal would look good and be easy to work with in this sort of way and would also compliment the color palette i already have. Thus my containing shape is the negative space, or the entire world...you decide.

Imagery

I don't think there would be any specific ratios for the placement of the logo. It will be left up to the designer of the ad, brochure, banner, etc. Advertisements for an institution of this nature would be at the mercy of whatever subject material is brought their way. Take this ad for instance, it was a standard ad that was given to all locations by the Moscow Ballet. Then the host venue would put their logo at the bottom.
Interestingly enough, the Moscow Ballet performed this here on Dec 2nd.

So none of the exercises were really speaking to me but this one which refers to sound. I tried to think and make a couple different signature sounds that would accompany the appearance of the logo but i couldn't do it. it seemed too cheesy for what i am trying to accomplish so instead i imagined commercials that suite might have and what they would feel like. i went through a lot of music and these two seemed to say what i wanted to most. my emphasis in the company is that it carries contemporary lines so i chose music that would appeal to those that are part of the contemporary scene. they both could apply to having an awesome home. As i chose the music i was leaning toward electronica and type of music. Most of that type would work okay as long as it didn't resemble in any way shape or form that hamster dance song...bleh...

(There's nothing like a wake-up call that your flash skills are getting rusty.) This is a short animation to show how the logo would look (for example) at the end of a commercial, or as part of a flash banner for a website.
Glo Container Shapes

So I kinda explained this earlier in the first post when dealing with the logos but working with container shapes fits almost exactly with the idea of my logo. With Jay an idea for Glo came up. It was based on the prestige or "street cred" that comes with graffiti or "tagging." But if this recognition could still come with an almost less rebellious or destructive sort of risk. The name of intellectual tagging was born. Intellectual tagging in theory is like making "your mark" but not by painting or destroying others' property. For example you could use a projector to shoot your tag onto your tagged area and then take a picture. This leads into the reason for the large variety of container shapes. It forces the company and divisions therein to have some structure by only being able to use the "swirl g" but still letting them have the freedom with the container shape, which mimics the freedom that many urban underground athletes and arts desire.
fullgive (day 22)

Here are album covers from some of the artists that my brother and I often listen to while we are working in the Fullgive studio (my brother's bedroom). I have found that the music that I listen to while I am working often shows its face in the final product, so these albums have had a direct affect on what Fullgive is today. It makes sense that the music that helps to drive the design of Fullgive also be a part of the atmosphere where it is being sold.
imagery

the only imagery that glo uses is the bottle for the energy drink and the heart beat line that you see in the logo. i put an example of how it works with the logo, on the bottle, and how it can be used in advertisements. the size ratio shown in the examples are how the imagery will always appear in relation to the logo the bottle is the only type of packaging this drink uses. if additional images are needed in the future, they may be added and an image library would be necessary. the colors of the line may change when off of the bottle, but it will always be gray when it appears on the bottle.

....Is anyone reading this? I didn't think so. But anyway I wanted to get away from the stuff I've done this past week. (YAWN) I was thinking if I had to include imagery it would most likely have something to do with cellos. I'm slightly obsessed with them if you haven't guessed by now.
I've already done the Mr. Bow and Celli so I was thinking that music can be fun, inspiring, energizing, haunting, and beautiful while at the same time melancholy.

Freudentisch Vier

I've been focusing specifically on the tablepet side of freudentisch for this project. The former post mentioned that ITC Serif Gothic Std was the logo typeface, and that was true. As for the secondary aspect of tablepet, that is what should be set in Helvetica Neue. Still working on the tagline, but I figure it would advertise in a format similar to one of these two set-ups
Taglines & Modifying Copy
The best offence is a good defence!

So i hadn't really thought of a tag line but my mom had and she thought of the "get away" one when i asked her what she thought of when she heard the company name. I liked it but i think for my contemporary furniture i liked the "new" one. I think i may use both but the first is the primary tag line. i put it in franklin gothic because i am working on my pc and don't have futura at the moment but that will be the typeface.

taglines

The primary tagline is "come alive." It is set in Gill Sans Light. This tagline appears with the logo. The secondary tagline is "Shake up your nightlife." It is in Gill Sans Regular. This tagline does not appear next to the logo and is used for advertisements. There is an example of how "come alive" is in its size relation to the logo and includes the copyright symbol.

kit: typography
Typeface is limited to Minion Pro Regular in pt. sizes 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc.
Inked words should be created with brush and india ink. When inking, place emphasis on ascenders, descenders, the beginning and ends of the words to create opportunities for alignment with the rest of the phrase.
Special care should be taken when considering alignment and proportions. Note the red alignment guides on the examples.
When inking and setting phrases, type sizes should be based on inflections used when speaking. For example, "Design is a relationship between form and content." Say it out loud- it seems natural for the emphasis to be on "form" foremost, "and content", with equal emphasis on the beginning of the phrase. Therefore, "form" should be inked, with the other pieces of the sentence set in appropriate sizes to accompany.
